I absolutely LOVE porridge and especially in the winter. Before going out rowing in the cold winter mornings porridge and a steaming cup of tea are a must! This porridge is bringing the festive spirit around Christmas time but can of course be eaten any time.
Cooking 10 mins
400ml coconut milk (or your preferred milk choice)
1/2 tsp ground allspice
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg/grated
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tbsp honey
Toppings (feel free to be inventive here):
Dark chocolate pieces (70% or above)
1 tbsp ground flaxseeds
Place oats, coconut milk and spices to saucepan and gently simmer over medium heat until your preferred consistency is reached.
Meanwhile caramalise banana under the grill or in frying pan.
When porridge cooked stir in the honey and top with desired toppings. Enjoy!
